Official Rules & Scoring
Draw (2–4 players)
| Players | Starting hand |
|---|---|
| 2 | 7 tiles |
| 3 / 4 | 6 / 5 tiles |
When you cannot play you must draw from the boneyard until you can; you may pass only once the boneyard is empty. With 2 players each starts with 7 tiles, with 3 players 6 and with 4 players 5, and the rest go to the boneyard. Everything else works as in Block.
All Fives (2–4 players)
Draw rules plus scoring: after each play, if the open ends total a multiple of five (5/10/15…), the player scores that amount. Both halves of a double at an end count. First to the target score (150 by default) wins the match.
Block (2–4 players)
Players take turns playing a tile that matches an open end. If you cannot play, you pass. The round ends when someone plays their last tile (domino) or the table is blocked; remaining pips are counted and the player with the lowest total wins the others' points (simplified: the finisher scores the opponents' remaining pips).
Scoring example
Open ends are 5 and 3. Playing the 3|0 tile on the 3 end leaves ends 5 and 0 — total 5, so you score 5 points. Playing 3|2 instead leaves 5 and 2 — total 7, no score. A double at an end counts both halves: a 4|4 at the end counts 8.
Winning and scoring
A round ends on a domino or a block (lowest pips); the match goes to the first player to reach the target score. Disconnected players can rejoin from the original link within 90 seconds.
Strategy & Tips
1. Hold the tiles that keep you flexible
Before you commit, keep at least one tile of each suit you expect to see. A hand with 4-5, 5-6 and 6-6 can follow almost any line; a hand of unrelated doubles cannot.
2. Watch both ends, not just your own
A block requires both ends to be closed. If one end is still open, the opponent can escape. Count the remaining tiles of each end suit: when the last matching tile is on the table, that end is effectively dead.
3. Dump doubles and heavy tiles early
Doubles are hard to place later and carry high pip values if the round is blocked. Playing 6-6 or 6-5 while you still can reduces your exposure and narrows the opponent's options at the same time.
4. Force the pass at the right moment
Save your blocking tile for the turn before the opponent would go out. Closing one end early often lets them dump their matching tiles; closing it late leaves them holding pips. Also watch the 15-second turn timer — a rushed opponent misplays more often.
Count by suit, not by tile
Each number from 0 to 6 appears on exactly seven tiles. If you have seen or played four sixes, only three remain in play. Track one suit at a time; the closed end tells you which suit matters most.
Read the passes
Every pass is information. If an opponent passes while the 6 end is open, they very likely have no six. Combine that with the tiles already visible and you can narrow their hand to a handful of candidates.
Win the endgame
In the last few turns, count the pips left in your own hand and estimate theirs. If you cannot go out, aim to block with the lowest total. Numbers 0, 1 and 2 are gold at the end; 6-6 and 6-5 are liabilities.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Dominos.cc really free?
Yes. All three modes — Draw, All Fives and Block — are free to play. There is no download, no signup and no install; the game runs in your browser on desktop and mobile.
Do I need to download an app or create an account?
No. There is nothing to download and no registration. Open dominos.cc in your browser, pick a nickname if you like, and play.
How many players can join a table?
From 2 to 4 players. In a 2-player game each player starts with 7 tiles, with 3 players 6, and with 4 players 5. Empty seats in a private room are filled by stand-in players so the game can start immediately.
How do I invite a friend?
Create a private room and share the 4-letter room code or the invite link. Your friend opens the link, enters the code if needed, and joins the same table in seconds.
Can I play dominoes against the computer?
Yes. The table opens already dealt, so you can start a solo game at once against computer opponents at Easy, Normal or Hard level, in Draw, All Fives or Block, with 2, 3 or 4 players.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It is one responsive website for phones, tablets and computers. Open it in your browser, no app store needed, and add it to your home screen if you want an app-like shortcut.
Which languages are available?
Dominos.cc comes in 20 languages: English, Español, Português, Bahasa Indonesia, हिन्दी, العربية, Русский, Türkçe, Tiếng Việt, Français, Deutsch, Filipino, Italiano, Bahasa Melayu, 日本語, 한국어, 中文, 繁體中文, Polski and Nederlands. Pick one from the language menu.
What happens if I lose connection?
Reopen the original link within 90 seconds and you return to the same seat with your hand intact. If you stay away, a stand-in player takes over your turns until you come back.
How does scoring work?
In Draw, the winner of a round scores the pips left in the opponents' hands. In All Fives, every play that leaves the open ends on a multiple of five scores that amount. Block scores like Draw; the first player to the target score wins the match.
Are there ads?
