In short
Dominos.cc has no accounts, no login and no advertising. Your settings and records live in your own browser. When you play online, the server only needs an anonymous ID and a nickname, and keeps a table in memory until it ends. The site may also count anonymous usage events with Google Analytics 4 (see below).
What is stored on your device
The game uses your browser's local storage, not cookies. Clearing this site's data in your browser erases all of it.
domino.profile.v1: a random anonymous ID and your nickname.domino.token.*anddomino.lastRoom.v1: a reconnect token for your current seat and the last room code, so you can rejoin after a refresh or a dropped connection.- Settings and preferences (
dirk8.*anddomino.*keys): table and tile theme, volume and mute, haptics, hints, hand order, lobby choices, install-prompt dismissal and tutorial progress. - Practice records: match history and replays, an unfinished practice game, daily challenge, puzzle and memory progress, season and streak counters, and auto-difficulty history. They are never uploaded.
- Offline cache: a service worker keeps a copy of the game files (pages, scripts, styles, language packs) so the game starts faster and works offline. It contains no personal data.
- Save slots of the shared table framework (
ptg_domino_active_solo,ptg_domino_paused_solo,ptg_domino_stats): the unfinished solo game, a solo game paused while you play a friend match, and your local win/loss counters. They stay on your device.
What the server handles when you play online
When you go online, your browser sends the anonymous ID, your nickname, the room code, your moves, quick emotes and a language code (so that names and phrases at the table suit your language). Other players at your table can see your nickname.
A table lives only in the server's memory and is removed after it ends or empties. Moves and hands are not written to disk.
The server stores one small profile per anonymous ID in its own data folder: the ID, nickname, number of wins and matches, and creation and update times. This profile is not shown in any public list; only players at your table see your nickname.
To limit abuse, the server keeps your IP address in memory only, to count connections and messages. Operational logs contain only technical events such as counts and room codes, not nicknames or IDs.
Stand-in players in online games may be played by AI.
Anonymous usage statistics (Google Analytics 4)
When a measurement ID is configured, the site uses Google Analytics 4 to count anonymous usage events: a game starting, a game finishing (mode, result, score, duration) and clicks on links to our sister games. Nicknames, IDs and moves are never sent. Google may set first-party cookies (_ga*) for this. In the EU/EEA, the UK, Switzerland and Brazil, analytics storage is denied by default (Google Consent Mode), so nothing is written to your device there; elsewhere it is allowed by default. It is not used for advertising: ad storage and ad personalization are off. If no measurement ID is configured, no statistics script is loaded at all.
What we do not do
We do not ask for your name or email, show ads, run third-party advertising or tracking, or sell or share data. The game itself sets no cookies; the only exception is the optional anonymous statistics described above.
Hosting providers
The website files are delivered by Cloudflare Pages, which may measure visits with its cookie-free analytics, and the game server runs on a rented server behind a reverse proxy. These providers may keep their own standard access logs (such as IP address and request time) under their own policies, outside the control of this game.
Your control
Clear this site's data in your browser to erase everything stored on your device, and change your nickname at any time. Leaving a table frees your seat on the server at once.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
